Last week I cut out a variety of snowman shapes for my preschoolers. After watching the segment, "I'm Walking on the Air" from The Snowman, that I found on YouTube, they painted the snowmen shapes. I also cut out a variety of gloves, arms and hats. They chose the ones they wanted and glued them to the snowman. I reviewed how to carry paint and how to hold a brush. They were allowed to paint their's however they wanted.

Stones and Crayons....KinderArt
I post so seldom on here this year. I only see each of my preschoolers once a month, so I am teaching the best of what I already have. There's not a lot new to be shown.
When I see interesting preschool lessons though, I want to keep them. This blog often serves as a file folder for good ideas for me.
I saw this on the KinderArt blog this morning and thought I would like to do it someday.

I want to make sure I remember this idea. One of my Head Start teachers asked if we could do "Where the Wild Things Are" again this year. It seems like I am always changing up on that theme. I've done "costumes," "wild thing catchers," masks and hats.
Looking around on Pinterest just now I found this idea. It looks as though they fingerpainted a body and later adorned it with features. It is from the blog: http://www.kidscount1234.com

Line Paintings
I do a line lesson with my preschoolers, but I like the way this one looks. It is from the blog:
